RENT A MOBILE TELEPHONE WITH A LOCAL NUMBER!

This was, and still is; very good advice... even if you have a mobile telephone that will roam in Odessa...

• Roaming in Ukraine with your home-country telephone is VERY expensive!
  
  
• Your local Ukrainian friends will hesitate to call or SMS an international number.
  
  
• You may receive calls from your home country that are irrelevant and unimportant, but the call will still cost you as a roaming international call!
  
  
• You may want to make a local call in an emergency and it may be difficult, if not impossible, just when you need quick action!

The Odessa Executive Suites' mobile telephones are current GSM models with local Ukrainian numbers. All phones are fully equipped for SMS and local calling. Or, you may choose to use just our SIM card with the local Ukrainian number in your own "unlocked" GSM mobile telephone. (NOTE: Most GSM phones in the USA are "locked" and will not work with another service's SIM card. You may want to see if it can be unlocked before you depart.)

If you reserve and pay for the mobile telephone package prior to your arrival, you'll receive your local Ukrainian telephone number before you leave for Odessa, AND your mobile telephone will be waiting for you in your apartment when you arrive.

You should also know that mobile phones in Ukraine are not "local" numbers like in Russia or other countries. That means that you can call any number, mobile or landline, in Ukraine from your mobile number for the normal charge.

Other than the rental charge, you'll only pay for your actual time and charges. This usage is an actual charge from the mobile service provider and is not marked up by Odessa Executive Suites.

These mobile telephones will even allow you to make or receive international calls.

Of course, you may order your telephone after you arrive in Odessa, but to be pre-assigned a Ukrainian number, and to be guaranteed availability, you may wish to pre-order your mobile telephone.

If you plan to travel around Ukraine after you leave Odessa, you may prefer, to purchase your own personal Ukrainian number! If you pre-order a "starter" package which includes a SIM card with 10 grivna credit on it before you arrive, you will know your Ukrainian number so you can communicate immediately with your friends in Ukraine.

Of course, in this case, it is even more important to confirm that your existing GSM telephone will work with another service provider! You may pre-order your "starter" package for only $20. We will provide your personal number to you within 48 hours before you even begin your journey so you can tell your friends or even have business cards printed.
